Entrepreneurial UX Design leader with more than 10 years of experience, and a proven track record of creating some of the world’s top consumer technology and product brands.

I led the Consumer design team for Meta FinTech, the product group and fintech unit at Meta that builds all payment, financial services, Web3, crypto and blockchain products (NFTs) across Meta. This included the Novi standalone app, WhatsApp payments, and Messenger payments.

For many people around the world, basic financial services are still out of reach: About 1.7 billion adults globally remain unbanked. The cost of that exclusion is significant — $25 billion is lost by migrants every year through remittance fees. This is the challenge we addressed with Novi, a digital wallet using the USDP Stablecoin, whose goal was to provide people everywhere access to safe and affordable financial services.

Previously, I was a Senior Product Designer for Facebook News Feed partnering with executives on strategy and leading the News Feed design system team. Prior to this, I was the lead Android product designer at Evernote and developed Evernote Market, a curated online storefront.  

I have extensive global travel experience and worked on assignments in many regions including Europe, MEA, and LATAM. Within the interaction design and UX communities, I’ve spoken and led workshops at universities across the country, including Georgia Tech and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. In my free time, I enjoy mentoring others through Women@ Meta Design and teaching floral design and painting workshops through @design_with_Ali. I live in the Bay Area with my husband and @Lil.Miss.Hazel.Cat.
